Patient Transport Service
Who is it for?
If you have a medical condition or mobility need that requires ambulance transport to get to your healthcare appointments, we run a transport service that could help you. We take you to and from pre-arranged hospital appointments, or for your admission to, and discharge from, hospital.
How does it work?
You can talk to specially trained staff at our Scottish Ambulance Service contact centre to request and book ambulance transport to and from your healthcare appointment up to 28 days in advance.The number to call is 0300 123 1236.

(Calls will be charged at local rates for mobiles and landlines. Please call as soon as you are notified of a hospital or clinic appointment. Patients who need support can ask their carer, friend, relative or GP to make the request on their behalf.)

MyBus is a bookable bus service offering door-to-door transport in your area. MyBus can be used for shopping, GP appointments, visiting friends, attending local clubs, and much more.
MyBus will pick you up and drop you off as close as possible to your destination. All vehicles are low-floor and wheelchair friendly. The driver will help you board the bus from the pavement. However, they're unable to provide assistance from your home to the bus.
