Work on a new health and social care facility for the Dargavel and Bishopton communities will begin over the coming weeks now that technical details and legal procedures have been completed.

Councillor Jennifer Adam has been appointed as the Chair of Renfrewshire's Integration Joint Board (IJB). She will take over as Chair for the next meeting, which is scheduled for Friday, 29 September.

A Collaborative Approach to Tackling Adult Social Care Recruitment in Renfrewshire
We are working together, in collaboration with local care providers to tackle recruitment challenges being faced in the Adult Social Care sector.
A mobile support unit has been launched in Renfrewshire in an attempt to reduce drug-related deaths and harm in the area. The Harm Reduction Response Team (HaRRT) has been set up to engage with people affected by drug and alcohol use and to support people who are not yet accessing treatment and care services. It allows those at risk access to the free supply and disposal of injecting equipment, blood testing, wound first aid alongside the training and distribution of Naloxone, which is used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
Angela Constance MSP, Minister for Drugs Policy, has officially opened Renfrewshire's new Recovery Hub, CIRCLE (Continuing in Recovery Changes Lives Entirely).
Invest In Renfrewshire are hosting a recruitment event on behalf of Renfrewshire HSCP and some of Renfrewshire's Independent Care providers, to recruit people into social care posts.
More than 4,000 people from across Scotland walked through the town for the Recovery Walk Scotland event which took place here for the first time.
Paisley will host a national event aiming to change perceptions of people recovering from alcohol and drug use. The Recovery Walk Scotland event, organised by the Scottish Recovery Consortium, will take place in the town centre on Saturday 24 September between 11am and 4pm. The event opens with a poignant ceremony of placing roses into the White Cart river in remembrance of friends and family lost to addiction, then there will be a procession through the town, starting at Bridge Street and coming back round to Abbey Close.
