Renfrewshire IJB Launches new Phase of Public Engagement

The Renfrewshire Integration Joint Board (IJB) is inviting residents, service users, unpaid carers, staff and community partners, to take part in its latest phase of public engagement.

Open until 30 June, the engagement will focus on gathering views and experiences to test a series of eight new proposals that include service reviews and other service-related savings. These have been developed to help the IJB address the financial challenges it currently faces.

Feedback gathered will be used to help IJB voting members understand the impact each proposal would have when they meet to review the updated proposals at their meeting in September. However, it is important to emphasise that no decisions will be made on any of the proposals until then. Ongoing engagement with service users, carers, impacted staff and partners has helped shape the proposals to date.

Chair of the Renfrewshire IJB, Councillor Jennifer Adam, said:

"The HSCP is committed to delivering person-centred care that reflects the priorities and values of the people we serve. The IJB's financial challenges have been well documented, and this engagement is another opportunity for people in Renfrewshire to have their say to help us prioritise how the IJB's budget is put to best use so we can continue to support local people who need us most."

"We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who use services, unpaid carers, frontline staff, and community organisations. You can share your views on the proposals, either via an online feedback form, in writing, or by attending one in a series of Town Hall events that have been arranged between 16 and 26 June."
