Our Health Visiting Service is made up of health visitors, staff nurses, nursery nurses, dental health support workers, healthcare support workers and admin staff. Along with other agencies, we work with you to protect and support the wellbeing of your child and help them achieve their potential.
Another part of our health visitors' role is to identify and assess if you and your child need any extra support and we will provide appropriate care, including parenting support, through public health programmes in Renfrewshire.
Our service aims to deliver the Universal Pathway to all pre-school age children and their families/carers, applying the principles of Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC).
We are notified by midwives when your child is born and GP services inform us if you and your family have just moved into the area.
Health Visiting teams are based in 10 health centres across the HSCP.
